I am referring to the role Heath Ledger played in “Brokeback Mountain��?. Was playing a gay - cowboy the right decision for his career. The reason I bring this up is because part of his appeal was his sexiness for women and the roles he played for the few men who actually like hime.My theory on this is that Heath Ledger obviously lost majority of his male audience/fans by playing a gay cowboy. For the females…I think he may have lost 40-50%. Why? Well, girls think that he’s sexy and that’s why they tune into his projects, but I don’t think that females find it attractive in any way to watch males “go at it��? like many men find lesbianism attractive. I simply think this movie may have hurt Heath Ledger’s overall film career, and I guess I anxiously await to see what sort of films he works on next.
